PanARMENIAN Media LLC is implementing "PanMan: Online Cartoon Magazine on Burning Issues" project to contribute to the development of alternative media and new ways of information dissemination via promoting the genre of caricature in the Armenian online media. Over the life of the project, weekly issues and monthly compilations of PanMan will feature more than 70 comic strips or individual caricatures on social, political, economic, and cultural issues in Armenia. A 30-page hard copy brochure compiling project’s best comic strips and cartoons will be distributed among media and artistic community during an exhibition at the end of the project. The project anticipates the expanded use of the genre of caricature by alternative media outlets and bloggers, which will increase the effectiveness of their reach to media consumers.
