Week of Italian films in Yerevan may become Armenian window into Italy

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 8-13, Yerevan will host a Week of Modern Italian Films organized by Italian Embassy in Armenia jointly with Hamazgain Theater. The event will be accompanied by Italian Cadres exhibition of works by Armenian sculptor David Minasyan.

“I am happy that the exhibition will coincide with the Week of Modern Italian Films. Thus, the event will go beyond the project boundaries and turn into a small festival,” sculptor David Minasyan told the November 5 press conference dedicated to the Week of Modern Italian Films.

Minasyan noted that the idea of the exhibition was not accidental. “Through works featured at the exhibition, I refer to images of Italian art critics, phenomena of Italian culture, due to which we have learned much,” he said.

David Minasyan added that the project will be continued.

Italian Ambassador to Armenia Bruno Scapini said for his part that the exhibition is another interpretation of Italian culture and art. He noted that the Armenian and Italian people’s culture, traditions, as well as temperament have always been very close. “We would like the event to become an Armenian window into Italy,” concluded Bruno Scapini.
