Yerevan Perspectives Festival to host 15 world famous musiciansMarch 16, 2011 - 14:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In September, Yerevan will launch the 5th annual Yerevan Perspectives Festival, the art director and chief conductor at Armenia’s State Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) stated. As Eduard Topchjan told a news conference in Yerevan, the festival will feature joint performance of the SPO with 15 world-famous soloists, including German violinist Julia Fischer, Russian concert pianist Konstantin Lifschitz, French clarinettist Paul Meyer. The SPO is celebrating its 85th jubilee in 2011. In 2010-2011, the Orchestra gave 35 concerts in Yerevan, also touring over Germany and Slovakia. For the second consecutive year, the Orchestra is sponsored by VivaCell-MTS company. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech. Penderecki was known for his film scores, including for William Friedkin’s “The Exorcist”, Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining”. Partner news |
