Members of ruling RPA party slam critics of Tashir 2011 award recipientsApril 9, 2011 - 15:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Tachat Vardapetyan slammed the critics of recipients of costly awards at Tashir 2011. The RPA member stressed his respect for Samvel Karapetyan and his family, noting it to be the businessman’s right and decision to grant presents to whoever he wishes. RPA member Hakob Hakobyan agreed with Vardapetryan, also expressing his astonishment over the public reaction with the presents awarded to Armenian stars. The award ceremony, he added, was organized in Russia, where such gestures are nothing out of the ordinary. Earlier, a group named Call on Tashir 2011 Stars was launched on Facebook . The group members urge Armenian pop stars, who were presented with the apartments in Moscow and Yerevan during the April 3 Tashir Armenian music awards ceremony, to give them away to homeless families.
