STATEMENTS AGAINST BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN OIL PIPELINE CONTINUE IN GEORGIA

State and public figures of Georgia doubt the political, economic and ecologic expediency of the project.

Many observers connect the delay in the construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline with the elections in Azerbaijan and Georgia. It seemed that once the elections were finished in Georgia, the construction would restart. However, in Tbilisi they are continuing to discuss the expediency of the project which may be dangerous for the ecology.
