The U.S. and the EU should put pressure on both Azerbaijan and Armenia to compromise in line with the principles proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group.

Arman Kirakossian briefed his Serbian counterpart on priorities of Armenia's foreign policy and cooperation with Euro-Atlantic structures.

The European Union is expected to draw a decision on the Eastern Partnership initiative in December 2008.

The EU annual progress report on Turkey will be released on November 5, 2008.

The conference will bring together representatives from Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.

Edward Nalbandian briefed the Armenian community of the UK on Armenia's foreign policy priorities.

"We shouldn't wait for 20-30 more years for resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Ahmet Davutoglu said.

"Both are very good friends of mine. Both are good and honest men and would be competent presidents," said the senator from Nebraska.

Supported by the international community, the OSCE Minsk Group format has justified itself, Edward Nalbandian said.

Political and diplomatic negotiations are the only way to resolve the conflict. Use of force is inadmissible, the Armenian Foreign Minister said.
