No party dared to take such a step for fear of losing votes of nationalists and Azeris that have become Turkish citizens.

There is starting a major pre-election campaign in Turkey. The first place is obviously for the Justice and Development Party (AKP) led by Prime Minister Erdogan. Who will take the second place depends on how far Turkey has gone from Kemalism. The opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) led by Kemal Kilicdaroglu is in a fair way to be second in parliament. Despite the skeptical viewpoint of Turkish nationalists, this party stands a good chance.

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers finish 3rd, freestyle wrestling team comes 11th at Dortmund 2011

The national teams will soon start trainings to get prepared for various international tournaments, the main target being the World Championships scheduled for September 12-18 in Istanbul.

Sports lovers were attentively following the development at the European Wrestling Championships in Dortmund, Germany, which brought together 686 wrestlers from 43 countries. Armenia was represented in all of 7 weight categories.

Agriculture seemed to be forgotten over the past years in Armenia and only in 2010, when unfavorable weather conditions resulted in a significant slump, the authorities came to senses and addressed the pressing problems.

There are over 30 museums in Yerevan, most of them being under guardianship of the Armenian Ministry of Culture and National Academy of Sciences and almost all of them lacking funds and attention. Low salaries force employees quit.

Supporters of the Armenian National Congress opposition bloc are using social networks to spread information about the future plans. Particularly, opposition activists have already launched Armenian Revolution of reform: March 1, 2011 page on Facebook to inform of the actions planned for March 1. They also created #1mar hashtag in microblog Twitter, where they inform of the mass rally dated to the 3rd anniversary of the March 1, 2008 events, when 10 people were killed and thousands injured. Armenian opposition follows the example of Tunisia and Egypt as well as other Arab states, where organizers of disorders employed social media to implement their plans.
