Georgian Parliament unanimously endorsed government’s proposal to annul a five-year agreement with Russia on transit of Russian military personnel and cargo to Armenia via Georgia.

On April 19, Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan met with the students of Dprotsaser and St. Mashtots French seminaries.

Several hundred people including the representatives of the lower house of Netherlands parliament participated in the rally.

With Armenian flags and posters condemning the 1915 massacres in their hands, the rally participants demanded the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

2011 Regional Response joint military exercises were scheduled for March 15-25; no reasons provided as to the delay.

The offer was prompted by the potential customer's need to support its oil and gas industries using defence equipment.

The cabinet also approved abolishing the state security court and a new law allowing the right to peaceful protests; the changes need parliament approval.
