Armenia-Russia exports drop by 4.8% amid growing trade turnoverDecember 3, 2014 - 17:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian exports grew by 4.7% in October 2014 against last year’s results, amounting to $140.9 million. In January-October 2014, the country’s exports totaled $1.250 billion, up 2.9% from last year, National Statistical Service reported. In the first 10 months of 2014, exports to Russia dropped by 4.8% to total $254 million, with the tendency for decrease, though somewhat slowed, still persisting. In January-August 2014, the export fell by 8,2% to total $184 million against $201 million from a year-earlier period. Total shares of Armenian exports to Russia dropped from 22% to 20.3%. At the same time, Armenia-Russia trade turnover showed a 7.8% increase. Russia tops the list of Armenia’s trade partners, with a 23.3% share in total turnover. CIS states’ share makes up 28.2%, EU – 27.1%, including Germany - 7,5%. Trade turnover with China, Iran and Georgia totals 9.8%, 8.8% and 2.6% respectively.
