WB expert to familiarize with particularities of economic competition protection in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) of Armenia, Ashot Shahnazaryan welcomed World Bank expert Sarah Reynolds.



According to a SCPEC press release, Ms. Reynolds arrived at Armenia to provide consultations related to legislative reforms in the fringes of the World Bank and Commission cooperation.



The chairman spoke about legislative regulations requiring reforms. He particularly stressed the necessity to strengthen the norm binding fulfillment of commission's decisions, as well as and eliminate contradictions in bans in laws of protection of economic competition and administrative proceeding.

Ms. Reynolds is also scheduled to meet with regulating agencies of ministries of finance and economy, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations.



WB expert will familiarize herself with peculiarities of Armenia's legislature, gather information from commission members, present expert conclusion and own suggestions.
