Representatives of RA Ministry of Agriculture dismissed

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the November 4 governmental sitting, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan expressed resentment over non-fulfillment of the Armenian President’s instructions referring to frontier state functions.

“We should jointly and urgently fulfill the President’s instructions. It refers not only to tax and customs functions, but also to all state functions implemented at border, when our citizens and enterprises cross it,” said Sargsyan.

He referred to phytosanitary matters, saying that a report of the Prime Minister’s control service proves that the Ministry of Agriculture improperly conducted inspections in the field. The Prime Minister added that the Minister of Agriculture has already dismissed the head of the licensing department. The head of phytosanitary inspection will also be dismissed.

To define certainly the functions of phytosanitary, Advisor to the RA Prime Minister Aram Gharibyan was instructed to submit offers on clarification of the functions within 10 days jointly with the Minister of Agriculture.

“Unreasonable functions should be abolished at border. Only those functions, which are needed for provision of relevant documents, should be kept,” said Tigran Sargsyan.
