Armenian businessmen familiarize themselves with free trade zone on Iranian Kish Island

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Economy hosted a presentation of free trade zone on Iranian Kish Island.

The press service of the Armenian Development Agency reported that favorable conditions are created on the island for both Iranian and foreign investors.

Specifically, the law envisages investments by Iranian and foreign citizens, Iran’s guarantees for safety of capital investments and investors’ right to withdraw them, as well as freely dispose the obtained income.

Besides, the law envisages duty-free import of equipment, means of transport, raw materials and construction materials for construction of industrial, trade and residential facilities; income and property tax exemption for 15 years, as well as usage of qualified foreign labor force in the free trade zone up to 10% of the total number of employees, etc.

Kish Island is located 18km of the southern coast of Iran, what allows for goods transit via Iranian railroads and highways to the countries of South Caucasus and Central Asia.
