Expert: Armenia needs to draft its model of developmentMarch 11, 2011 - 15:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Founder of Alternative research center Tatul Manaseryan believes that Armenia needs to draft its national model of development and not to take cue from the neighboring countries, specifically, Georgia. “The impact of neighboring countries’ economy cannot be excluded for a country like Armenia. If radical changes take place in Georgia, it does not mean that we should follow its example. We should choose our own path of development,” Manaseryan told the March 11 roundtable on Armenia’s economy in Yerevan. The roundtable brought together foreign experts, representatives of international financial structures – IMF, WB, EBRD and OSCE - as well as local entrepreneurs. At the same time, Manaseryan said that some countries have created their models of development recently, adding that it is impossible to tackle challenges without joint efforts.
