Armenia launches development of certain tourist routes

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 21, the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA) and RA Ministry of Economy presented Southern Corridor strategic project.

The project is developed by AECOM British company at the initiative of the Armenian Ministry of Economy and NCFA.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Ara Petrosyan said the project envisages development of certain tourist routes in Armenia.

“It is in compliance with the state policy in the field of tourism – equal development of regions, creation of jobs, correct exploitation and preservation of multi-cultural heritage,” said Petrosyan.

Southern Corridor includes territories from Vayots Dzor province’s Areni wine-making region to Tatev-Goris region; they were divided by specialists into five clusters – Yeghegnadzor, Sisian, Goris, Tatev and Jermuk.
