Number of iDram users makes 30,000 people in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - PR Manager of iDram payment system operator Anna Grigoryan said that the number of system users makes 30,000 people in Armenia.

The payment system provides with the opportunity to make such operations, as acceptance of advance payments, utility services payment, loan repayment, online purchases, payment of taxes and fines, etc. Currently the company has an agreement with Web Money company, allowing users to make purchases in some international online shops.

“E-Commerce is developing slowly in Armenia. I understand that our population is basically conservative and does not trust electronic transactions,” Grigoryan noted.

According to her, the company has obtained a license of the Central Bank of Armenia in 2009, after which a system of users’ identification has started operating in the company like in banks. Grigoryan added that mostly bank employees trust the online payment system.
