Armenian students to participate in Orange innovation contest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Orange Armenia has announced an Orange innovation contest for the students of Yerevan State University and State Engineering University of Armenia, Bruno Duthoit, Orange Armenia CEO and Yves Tyrode, France Telecom Executive Vice President in charge of the Technocentre stated.

As they reported at news conference in Yerevan, the Orange innovation prize will enable the winner to take a maximum of 6 months remunerated internship in Orange Labs. The prize will be granted on the basis of a competition of innovative ideas and projects in telecommunication field submitted to Orange Armenia.

During his trip to Armenia Yves Tyrode met rectors of the two largest Armenian Universities, training telecommunication specialists. Tyrode briefed the rectors on Orange Labs activities, as well as perspectives and opportunities for Armenian students upon passing internship at Orange Labs.

The Orange Labs are the worldwide innovation network of Orange France Telecom group, employing 3500 researchers, developers, designers and marketers of 50 different nationalities on 18 sites over 4 continents. With a portfolio of 350 patents per year, they contribute to the development of the new generation of innovative and easy-to-use integrated communication services. Within the Orange Labs, the Technocentre is the design and product factory for customer centric innovation. Its primary mission is to develop and deliver the right services and products at the right time for as many countries as possible. Employing people of 22 nationalities, the Technocentre is based on 3 sites: Paris, London and Amman.
