Computer for Everyone governmental program to be officially launched December 8December 7, 2010 - 16:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Computer for Everyone governmental program will be officially launched on December 8. To perform the transfer from pilot to the main part of the program, computer equipment sale point throughout Armenia were mapped, sale outlets to provide 100% coverage were selected, training programs for sale point employees developed. A selection of manufacturing and financing companies, sale points and organization of sales in Armenian regions is planned. Computer for Everyone program is implemented by the Armenian government, Enterprise Incubator Foundation, Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft corporations in partnership with Unicomp company and ACBA-Credit Agricole bank. The pilot project of the program was launched on September 22, 2009. USD 5-7mln will be allocated to the program, providing the population with the opportunity to purchase computers at market prices.
