RA government to finance participation of Armenian IT companies in CeBIT 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Director of the UITE EXPO Vahan Hovsepyan said that the Armenian government is going to support those IT companies, which intend to participate in CeBIT international technological fair in 2012.

Hovsepyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that only one Armenian company – Nork information and analytical center – will have a separate stand at the fair this year, while LimeTeche company will have a status of visitor at the event.

Macadamian company is also likely to participate in CeBIT.

Early in 2011, UITE started receiving applications for participation in CeBIT 2011. However, later it was announced that companies should cover expenses for their participation in the event, due to lack of state financing.

For several years, the state covered the expenses for stand lease at CeBIT fair, but in 2010 the state budget has not allocated funds for participation in the fair.

Previously, Algorithm Service, Bi Line, CQG, E-Soft, Instigate, ISMA, L-Soft, Smart Systems, Viasphere Technopark, Sourcio, Memcosoft, AHTC, Fluger, AIT Systems, Softmaster, EIF, E-Dram, CIT, TIB, Synergy, Armenian Software and Dino Systems companies represented Armenia at the event .

CeBIT has been held since 1986. Annually it brings together 700,000 visitors and 6,500 participants, which present recent trends in software, business processes and researches in the IT field.

Hanover will host CeBIT 2011 from March 1 to 5.
