OPERA Software representatives to attend BarCamp Yerevan'11March 24, 2011 - 12:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The date of conduction of BarCamp Yerevan'11 informal conference has been changed. “The event will take place in American University of Armenia on June 4-5,” one of the organizers, information security expert Samvel Martirosyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “OPERA Software representatives are expected to arrive. Besides, well-known Russian bloggers and experts were invited. I can’t announce their names now, as we are still awaiting confirmation.” BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences. They are open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants. The first BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, and were related to open source technologies, social protocols and open data formats. The first BarCamp was held in Palo Alto, California, in 2005. Since then, BarCamps have been held in over 350 cities around the world. The event has been organized in Armenia since 2009.
