 Seyran Ohanyan: Defence Ministry must be kept abreast of latest IT trends April 1, 2011 - 19:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Defence hosted discussions on cooperation perspectives with the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE). As the Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan noted, with information technologies having penetrated all spheres of life, the ministry must be kept abreast of the latest trends, including the development of military technologies, military data management, advanced training for military experts. UITE CEO Karen Vardanyan cited Israel as an example of successful combination of IT and military technologies, urging to benefit from the example set. The parties resolved to create a working group to develop cooperation strategies in specific sectors.
