Motorola expected to delay launch of its first LTE based smartphoneApril 20, 2011 - 18:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Motorola Mobility is expected to delay the launch of its first LTE based smartphone, the Droid Bionic as it adds extra features to the handset. There had been some speculation that the Driod Bionic was being scrapped even before it was released in favor of a different model, but the company has confirmed that it will launch - albeit later than expected. According to the Wall Street Journal, the phone was due to go on sale sometime in the second-quarter of this year with Verizon Wireless in the USA but will now launch sometime in the summer. "Based on compelling feedback since [Consumer Electronics Show in January], we are incorporating several enhancements to make this an even better consumer experience," a Motorola spokeswoman said. The smartphone comes with a dual core processor with each core running at 1GHz, delivering up to two GHz of processing power, and 512 MB RAM.
