Obelisk of Memories app launched on Hayland.am

PanARMENIAN.Net - The largest Armenian social network Hayland.am came up with unique initiative - Obelisk of Memories - to honor the memory of Armenian Genocide victims.

Just before the official commemoration date, a special application was placed on the homepage of the website. Through this application, any person can honor the memory of the Genocide victims by posting his/her message.

The application runs with the words: “We will never forget the names of the victims, and will not cease to demand recognition of this terrible crime, which has no statute of limitation!”

Also a special blog has been created to let people share stories told by their elders about horrors, escape, tragic lives, resistance and heroism of our countrymen during the Armenian Genocide.

Last year Hayland.am posted an application of former Ottoman Empire’s map. The map was littered with icons that indicate places of massacre, escape routes and points of Armenian resistance in 1915. Anyone could have placed a candle or a flower in places of mass murders.

Hayland.am Armenian social network has been founded in 2008 and recently has more than 123 000 registered users.
