Free Democrats party leader offers to hold public talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Commenting on the disagreements between opposition forces regarding single candidates in majority constituencies, head of the Heritage election headquarters, Free Democrats party leader Khachatur Kokobelyan offered to henceforth hold public talks, in the presence of media.

“Personally I promise that there will be private negotiations with none of the political forces,” he told a press conference in Yerevan.

Mr. Kokobelyan further noted that an impression is created that the opposition forces are going to struggle against one another at the forthcoming elections.

“We won’t struggle against the opposition. We enjoy stable electorate. We are not forced to steal voted from other opposition forces,” he said.

The party head further advised opposition members to focus on the struggle against the ruling coalition instead of the battle with each other.

On the threshold of elections, Heritage merged with Free Democrats opposition party, the representatives of which were included in the Heritage candidates list. The list is topped by the leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian, Free Democrats party head Khachatur Kokobelyan and MP Zaruhi Postanjyan (Heritage).
