Hackathon Armenia 2012 to kick off April 27April 12, 2012 - 14:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hackathon Armenia 2012 will take place in resort town of Tsaghkadzor on April 27-29. The event aims to create necessary and interesting programs for Armenian society, develop interesting extensions/apps for Google Chrome Browser, as well as broaden scope of interests towards finding solutions on mobile and network technologies. The organizers of the Hackathon Armenia 2012 are Google Technology User Group Armenia and the Armenian Social Media Association. VivaCell-MTS is the official sponsor of the event. Those willing to participate must fill in online registration form before April 18 where they will present a short description of their Apps and Extensions. Afterwards, the event organizers will make a short list of candidates for the Final Hackathon participation. Participants will develop a final model for their Apps or Extensions in two days by demo version and will give an overview on their Apps, show its model and project the final structure of presented Programs. After closing the event, the participants will organize five-minute demo-exhibition of the created App sketch after which the jury will identify two winners in “The best software solution for Android OS” (prize – Galaxy Nexus smartphone) and “The best software solution for Chrome Browser” (prize – HTC Flyer tablet) nominations, VivaCell-MTS press service reported.
