Armenia’s electoral committees to hold first meetings April 14

PanARMENIAN.Net - 1982 electoral committees will hold their first meetings in Armenia on April 14.

Earlier, Central Election Commission of Armenia through an automated system distributed the positions of chairmen and secretaries of constituency commissions between the political forces included in the current National Assembly.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) got 903 seats of chairmen and secretaries, Prosperous Armenia got 397, ARF Dashnaktsutyun – 352, Orinats Yerkir – 176 and Heritage – 154.

Parliamentary elections, due in Armenia on May 6, feature 8 political parties: Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).
