Consul of Macedonia lists possible cooperation areas with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Presence of Macedonian businesses in Armenia may contribute to deepening of cooperation between Armenia and Macedonia, Consul of Macedonia to Armenia said.

Arayik Sargsyan stressed the need to consider the possibility of realization of Armenian products in the Macedonian market, with special importance to be attached to development of cultural ties.

The Armenian community in the country totals about 1000 people, with a Sunday school operating. The Consul noted that following his meeting with the Macedonian archimandrite, Armenians were allowed to hold a service in Orthodox Church in Macedonia’s capital city of Skopje. Mr. Sargsyan also stressed the importance of organizing cultural events in both countries.

“Consultations on the Association Agreement may become another cooperation area. Armenia may benefit from Macedonia’s experience in conducting negotiations with the EU in the direction,” the official said.
