New Chrome Beta for Android brings support for 31 more languages![]() April 17, 2012 - 22:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google has released a new version of the Chrome Beta for Android that brings support for 31 more languages, easier viewing of desktop versions of sites as well as the ability to add bookmarks and shortcuts to the home screen as icons, The Next Web reports. The new version allows users to request the desktop version of any website, just in case the mobile version the user ends up at isn’t giving the content wanted. Users can also now add bookmarks and shortcuts to websites directly to personal homescreen, letting jump to favorite content with one tap. There are also a new set of preferences that allow users to pick which default apps handle the links tapped on in Chrome. Chrome for Android now also uses the system proxy built into Android. The service now also makes it easier for users to add new contacts sent to them by friends, and has support for Simplified Chinese. Partner news |
