ARFD member urges parliamentary candidates to prevent another “March 1”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coordinator of ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s election campaign Aghvan Vardanyan called on all key actors of the election race to adhere to civilized competition rules.

“This is not our final clash; we all are citizens of our country, and we have to follow the rules of a civilized competition. The elections will be over, and we'll further live side by side,” he told a press conference in Yerevan.

According to Vardanyan, events of 2008 must never occur again; domestic upheavals and huge external pressure on Armenia must be prevented. Dashnaktsutyun will do its best to prevent this from happening again, he emphasized.

Parliamentary elections are due in Armenia on May 6 featuring 8 political parties (Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).
