Armenian Genocide commemorated in Iraq

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 27, a liturgy was served in St. Krikor Lusavorich Church of Baghdad dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Armenia’s ambassador to Iraq Murad Muradyan, Vatican envoy Giorgio Lingua, head of the Council of Christian and other communities, as well as local Armenians attended the event, which was followed by a wreath laying ceremony.

On April 28, Armenian Youth Association building hosted a literary evening in commemoration of Genocide victims, featuring speeches by organization head and ambassador Muradyan.
