Al-Qaeda attack plot found in porn video

PanARMENIAN.Net - CNN has published a report that an Austrian man detained by police in Berlin was carrying with him the "most important haul of al-Qaeda materials in the last year," aside from those confiscated in Osama bin Laden's compound. However, in an odd twist, those plans were buried deep inside a pornographic video on a memory card, which required weeks of investigation and password-cracking by cryptologists, The Huffington Post reported.

The CNN report explains that the porn film, called "Kick Ass," and a file marked "Sexy Tanja" contained within them more than 100 al-Qaeda documents, including terrorist training manuals in German, English and Arabic and plans to hijack cruise ships in Europe.

German newspaper Die Zeit was first to report on the story, detailing the types of documents investigators discovered. A translation by The Huffington Post describes the intelligence bounty: The documents, with descriptive names such as "Lessons Learned," "Future Works," and "Report On Operations," contain astonishing information. They mainly consist of self criticism, thoughts on terror campaigns in the West, and inventories.

According to CNN, Die Zeit investigative journalist Yassin Musharbash interpreted the hijacking proposal to include plans to begin "executing passengers on those ships and demand the release of particular prisoners," along with dressing hostages in orange jumpsuits in an allusion to al-Qaeda prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
