Ukraine’s top court postpones ex-PM Tymoshenko appeal

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Ukrainian high court on Tuesday, May 15 postponed until June 26 hearing the appeal of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko against her seven year jail term on abuse of power charges, AFP reported.

The Kiev court, Ukraine's highest judicial instance, took the decision following a motion brought by prosecutors but vehemently contested by the defense who warned against dragging out the process, an AFP correspondent said.
