Paper: Prosperous Armenia governors to be replaced by RPA members

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to 168 Zham daily, Prosperous Armenia member, Vayots Dzor governor Sergey Bagratyan sent in his resignation yesterday, June 4.

Mayor of Vayk, representative of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Harutyun Sargsyan is currently considered the most probable candidate for the post.

A decision has already been taken to appoint MP from RPA Rafik Grigoryan to the post of Gegharkunik province governor, who will replace another Prosperous Armenia member, having resigned. Hayk Harutyunyan’s name is currently circulated as a probable candidate for the position.

Our sources say that President Serzh Sargsyan was against his candidacy due to his association to Robert Kocharian, the paper says.
