Paper says money laundering charges against ex-FM aim to please Russia![]() June 14, 2012 - 11:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - New Times party leader Aram Karapetyan has characterized money laundering charges against ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian as a planned scenario, Yerkir paper reports. He said that thought the scenario was well-developed, it was badly implemented, disgracing Armenia as a result. “It turns out, that foreign ministers get involved in money laundering business after they quit their jobs. I wonder how much money Edward Nalbandian will launder?,” the paper quoted Karapetyan as saying, adding that former foreign minister Alexander Arzumanyan was also charged with the same crime. According to the party leader, President Serzh Sargsyan tries to harm the pro-Western candidate, thus proving to Russia that RA authorities fight against West’s money in such a way. In other words, Karapetyan deems it a way to please Russia. Partner news Nalbandian drew the co-chairs’ attention to ongoing military rhetoric of Azerbaijan, which undermines possibility for peaceful settlement. Tigran Sargsyan: the authorities will do the utmost in the coming 4-5 years to ensure favorable conditions for the people. Members of all parliamentary groups, PM, Energy Minister and the chair of the Public Services Regulatory Commission were invited to participate.
