Aronian, Carlsen hit summary medium rating record in Tal Memorial round 6 game

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mikhail Tal Memorial round 7 is due June 16, with June 15 announced a rest day for Moscow-hosted tournament participants.

In the 6th round game, Levon Aronian and Magnus Carlsen hit a summary medium ranting record; Karlsen gained the 1st place in FIDE ratings with 2835 points, followed by Aronian with 2825 points.

At the tournament, Alexander Morozevich is 1st with 4 points, followed by Vladimir Kramnik with equal number of points. Carslen is 3rd with 3,5 points, Aronian is 7th with 2,5 points.

Armenian grandmaster will face off against Alexander Grischuk in the 7th round with the remaining players paired as follows:

Teimour Radjabov - Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura - Magnus Carlsen, Evgeny Tomashevsky - Alexander Morozevich, Luke McShane - Vladimir Kramnik.
