Experts say Armenian, Azeri FMs’ meeting will yield no progress

Armenian experts have no exceptions from June 18 meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov.

“I have no exceptions from the meeting. It will yield no progress,” Caucasus Institute director, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan said.

According to him, “no new statements on Nagorno Karabakh conflict have been issued for the past ten years.”

Head of Political Research Academy NGO, Alexander Manasyan, in turn voiced skepticism over achievement of a radical change in Paris meeting.

“Foreign ministers’ meetings usually aim to ready meetings for the heads of state to prepare documents in the framework of OSCE Minsk Group,” he said.
