Prosecutors urge insanity verdict for mass killer Breivik

PanARMENIAN.Net - Norwegian prosecutors say self-confessed mass killer Anders Breivik should be committed to compulsory psychiatric care instead of prison, Belfast Telegraph reported.

In their closing arguments at an Oslo court June 21, they said it could not be ruled out that the 33-year-old Norwegian was psychotic when he killed 77 people in a bomb and gun rampage on July 22 last year.

Prosecutor Svein Holden said: "We request that he is transferred to compulsory psychiatric care."
