7 Czech tourists killed, 44 injured in Croatia bus crash

PanARMENIAN.Net - Police say at least seven Czech tourists have been killed and 44 injured in a bus crash in Croatia.

The Associated Press reports that the accident happened at around 4 am Saturday, June 23 on the main highway connecting Croatian capital, Zagreb, with the Adriatic coastal city of Split.

The Croatian state TV said the bus crashed through the metal barriers in the middle of the highway and overturned in the opposite lane near a tunnel.

The highway was closed for traffic because of the crash. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
