The wrestler earlier defeated Csongor Knipli (Hungary), Jamal Ahamau (Belarus) and Yacin Ozay (France). Freestyle wrestlers Artak Hovhannisyan (55 kg), David Apoyan (66 kg) grabbed silver, with Volodya Frangulyan (60 kg) winning bronze.
