However, in a conversation with the daily’s reporter, Prosperous Armenia party member Aragats Akhoyan asked to specify the opposition forces in question, at the same time characterizing Prosperous Armenia as an alternative party. The MP was confident the party won’t be joining opposition forces in nominating a single candidate. He also refused to inform whether the party’s planning to nominate its own candidate, noting that the decision-making is in progress. Also, he expressed surprise over recent reports suggesting ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian can run for a president. “Prosperous Armenia never mentioned it as a possibility,” he said.
