Armavia airline company drops plans for Sukhoi plane purchase – paper![]() July 4, 2012 - 13:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Aravot daily, Armavia Armenian airline company dropped its plans for a purchase of another Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet passenger plane. The decision was prompted by recent plane crash in Indonesia. The Superjet-100 slammed into Mount Salak near Jakarta on May 9 when it was on a short demonstration flight for potential buyers. All 45 people on board were killed. Partner news Earlier, ArmRosgasprom CJSC addressed Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission with an offer to reconsider natural gas price. Armenian defense ministry’s spokesman described the maneuvers as ordinary exercises conducted several times a year.
