Armenian peacekeepers leave for Kosovo![]() July 6, 2012 - 15:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Friday, July 6, 35 Armenian peacekeepers left for Kosovo to be deployed at Camp Bondsteel, the main base of the United States Army. In the city of Uroševac, the peacekeepers will start the NATO-led six-month shift peace mission as part of Multinational Battle Group East. Armenian peacekeeping unit, involved in NATO’s Kosovo mission since 2004, returned to Armenia in February 2012, following cuts in the mission. A memorandum of understanding was signed to resume Armenian peacekeeper’s mission in Battle Group East. Partner news At the meeting, the parties focused on the prospects of bilateral relations, and cooperation in the framework of international organizations. Dwelling on the hike in gas prices, Iskandaryan said the change also affected other countries importing Russian gas. Armen Martirosyan noted that the price rise will further deteriorate the situation in the country, fostering emigration.
