“Arno” outstanding composer’s bio featured at Golden Apricot film fest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Eduard Hambardzumyan’s “Arno” bio, centering on the outstanding Soviet-Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan was screened at Golden Apricot Yerevan-hosted international film festival.

The director’s task was to make the film stand out among many stories of acclaimed composer’s life.

“It’s a film about an Armenian who dedicated his whole life to serving his country,” the helmer told a news conference in Yerevan.

“Arno” follows the life of the great composer Arno Babajanyan. It chronicles places where he lived, studied, and worked. Exciting and funny stories are told by composer’s son, Araik Babajanyan, and well-known artists, with Armen Jigarkhanyan, Yevgeniy Yevtushenko, Iosif Kobzon, Nerses Hovhannisyan, Eduard Mirzoyan, and Aleksandr Harutyunyan among them.

“Many of those who’ve seen the film confessed to discovering a new person, becoming familiar to a new side of the famous composer,” the helmer said.
