Economist advises boosting state reserves to lower susceptibility to external shocks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Experts believe food crisis and inflation in the sector of agriculture will continue in 2012, which means Armenia must take efforts to boost food security, Professor Tatul Manaseryan said.

At July 9 news conference in Yerevan, the economy expert advised boosting state reserves by increasing the volume of first necessity products in order to lower Armenia’s susceptibility to external shocks.

The expert further slammed Armenia’s slow progress in agrarian sector, urging the country’s authorities for more determined steps.
