PanARMENIAN.Net - Concorde Filmverleih has picked up all German rights to Diana, the Lady Di biopic starring Naomi Watts, which is currently shooting in Europe. Concorde has had great success in Germany with fellow British biopics The Queen and The Iron Lady, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Oliver Hirschbiegel is directing Diana, formerly known as Caught In Flight. Shooting began earlier this month in Croatia and will continue in Mozambique and England.

Stephen Jeffreys (The Libertine) penned the script to the film, which focuses on Princess Diana’s relationship with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan, played by British actor Naveen Andrews (The English Patient). Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae of U.K.’s Ecosse Films are producing with delivery set for 2013.

Diana has also presold to The Netherlands (Cineart) and Switzerland (Ascot Elite).
