Heritage rep.: Armenian society dislikes losing politicians

PanARMENIAN.Net - The secretary general of Heritage opposition party was asked to comment whether he believes Raffi Hovannisian or Levon Ter-Petrossian to be a more charismatic opposition leader.

“None of them has lost or increased their charisma in any manner. Whether we want it or not, the Armenian society doesn’t like losing politicians,” Stepan Safaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

“Armenian people may sympathize with a persecuted politician, however, it dislikes a losing one, with recent events proving any politician is given just one chance during the electoral period,” the oppositionist said.

“I don’t believe ex-leader Levon Ter-Petrossian will once again be able to become a favorite at presidential race,” Safaryan said.
