Russian State Duma speaker says ties with Armenia important

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 24, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Russian delegation headed by State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin.

President Sargsyan voiced hope for Russian official’s visit to give new impetus to Armenian-Russian military relations. He expressed interest in deepening of ties with Russia, characterizing them as cornerstone of Armenian security.

Mr. Naryshkin, in turn, hailed the military cooperation between the two countries, stressing the importance of interparliamentary diplomacy in strengthening of bilateral ties, presidential press service reported.
