PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Elina Danielian tied a game vs. Russia’s Ekaterina Kovalevskaya in Fide Women’s Grand Prix round 8. With 4 points she currently comes 7th.

Meanwhile, Lilit Mkrtchian lost the game to Zhao Xue (China) to drop to the 9th place with 3,5 points.

Ju Wenjun (China) shared points with Munguntuul Batkhuyag (Mongolia) to top the tournament standings with 5,5 points. China’s another representative Hou Yifan comes 2nd, followed by Kateryna Lahno (Ukraine) with 4,5 points.

Danielian and Mkrtchian will face off against Russia’s Nadezhda Kosintseva and Wenjun respectively in round 9.
