Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon’s “Arbitrage” to open San Sebastian Film FestJuly 26, 2012 - 17:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nicholas Jarecki’s Arbitrage, starring Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon, will open the 60th San Sebastian International Film Festival’s official section in competition when Spain’s A-list festival opens Sept. 21, The Hollywood Reporter said. Both actors, who have each previously won the Donostia Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival, will be on hand for the European premiere of Jarecki’s fictional feature debut. Arbitrage, handled internationally by Parlay Films and distributed in Spain by TriPictures, addresses the duplicity of an American businessman on the eve of his 60th birthday, who seems to be the portrait of success, including the business fraud and an extra-marital affair with a French art-dealer, played by Laetitia Casta. Jarecki shot to fame thanks to his book Breaking In: How 20 Film Directors Got Their Start, which was published in 2002. San Sebastian International Film Fest runs Sept. 21-29.
