Apple to buy mobile security firm AuthenTec for $356mln July 27, 2012 - 16:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple has agreed to acquire mobile and network security firm AuthenTec for $356 million. According to Mashable, Apple has offered $8 per share, a 58% premium over AuthenTec’s Thursday close price of $5.07. AuthenTec’s line of products includes smart fingerprint sensors for PCs, smartphones and other products as well as identity management software for individuals and businesses.
