“The Mummy” star Brendan Fraser to join “Split Decision” action-thriller August 1, 2012 - 17:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Brendan Fraser will star in writer-director Damian Lee’s action-thriller Split Decision for Rollercoaster Entertainment and Vortex Words + Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter said. Fraser plays a father who must defend his two children from a pair of murderers. He also will produce along with Gary Howsam and Bill Marks, with Jeff Sackman as executive producer. The plot kicks off when two children (Holly Deveaux and Christian Martin) witness a murder while on a wilderness camping trip with a family friend (Daniel Kash). When two criminal brothers, (Dominic Purcell and Ethan Suplee) start to hunt down the children to silence them, Fraser’s father-figure sets out to rescue them. Amy Price-Francis appears as the children’s mother. With principal photography beginning shortly on location in Ontario, the production team includes director of photography Curtis J. Petersen, production designer Tony Cowley, editor William Steinkamp, and costume designer Ton Pascal. Lee, repped by Alchemist Entertainment, has written and directed the upcoming thriller The Truth, starring Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria and Forest Whitaker, which also was produced by Howsam and Marks. Fraser, repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment, has had hits with three films in The Mummy franchise and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
